Beach ice
I took a trip to St Annes. It was as sunny as you could hope for, but bitingly cold on the beach.
This is quite something - the hollow of seawater at the base of this timber was frozen over. This is one of the uprights of the separate end section of St Annes Pier, which has been abandoned to the elements. I didn't have to alter this photo at all - for me, it's perfect.
