'Aliki lagoon'Series #1 (Flamingo Love)
Welcome to Aliki lagoon series.
Happy new year!!!
This part of series is shot in the aquatic settlement of Aliki which
is situated on the eastern part of the Samos island close to the Asia Minor coastline.
In Aliki, the inhabitants of Samos used to get the best salt production in Greece.
That stopped happening in the year of 1965.
Today, the settlement of Aliki is of great ecological significance,
part of the program «Natura 2000», as well as the «Special Protection Areas-SPA» program.
Here, the visitor can see various species of animals,
such as hedgehogs, ferrets, river-turtles, lizards etc.
Additionally, there have been recorded more than 127 bird species, like Flamingos e.t.c.
So if you are a nature lover, do not miss visiting the area of unique beauty.
Have a great weekend..
Thank you all for your comments & faves.
