A Day for the Nurses 2011
Nurses, nurses,
Thank you one and all
You're there when we come into this world
faces before theatre.
A gashed head needs stitches,
and jabs to kill the pain.
You're at the outpatients, seeing us right, for drugs
or a bandage.
You're the only one who'll spare, and share, a smoke.
And laugh with you, and say bugger.
And sometimes you're there when we die.
Day in, day out, thanks nurses.
