A new pastor learns just how many church committees it takes to change a light bulb.
Sample:

Deacon: First things first. The requisition sent to the Requisition Review Subcommittee of the Table Tennis Committee is not the same as the one you send to the Requisition Subcommittee of the Socket Committee. You need a reference.
Pastor: And I get those by...?
Deacon: Those are given by the Reference Committee. But you can't simply ask for a reference. You have to receive a nomination from the Nomination Subcommittee of the Reference Committee. You can make a request for nomination, but you must send those requests to both Nomination Request Review Subcommittees of the Nomination Subcommittee. Both subcommittees must reach an agreement before your request can be considered for possible nomination for a reference.
Pastor: But I'm the Pastor.
Deacon: Then you check the box on the request form next to "Pastor."
